Kassandra - What is a reasonable maximum number of tables?

I am new to Kassandra. As far as I understand, the maximum number of tables that can be stored per key space is Integer.Max_Value. However, what are the performance implications (speed, storage, etc.) of such a large number of tables? Are there any recommendations regarding this?
