How to install Postgres on Synology via iPKG

I have a Synology DS214SE (like ref), and I would like to install a Postgres instance via iPKG.

I looked at everything that Google provided to me, and I could not find something that really worked.

Background: Synology ships with postgres 9.2, unfortunately it seems to be used internally and is not recommended. Therefore, the installation path is to install another instance of postgres through a source supported by Synology.

I could handle it without any problems (PS v8.2). I don’t understand how to configure it correctly. Anyone who offers some knowledge about this will definitely be rewarded in the afterlife and bring glory to every corner of the WWW!
