Using git source control using website

Question

So I just want to configure Git on my server, but I have a million problems running, so forget about it.

Is it possible to set up a normal Git repository and then synchronize my autoserver to a web server (just read, I think) with a Git repo?

I'm just part of a 2-person team and prefer to use Git for any other version control.
