What does the "Fabric.framework / run" build phase actually do?

I am using Crashlytics framework to collect crashes in iOS apps.

When you use the framework, the Build Phase is added to your target, which launches /Fabric/Fabric.framework/run <big-hex-blob> <another-even-biger-hex-blob>.

I would really like to know that this is in fact - I am not completely satisfied that the monkeys of third-party suppliers work with my assembly, I am such an old school.
