By default, TFS Build creates the Index Sources and Character Publishing option in the Visual Studio Build definition. When the property of the step "Symbol publishing path" is empty, everything works fine. But when setting up the path to the local directory, the step generates the following error:

The pdb files are published in the specified directory, so I really don’t understand what causes the error (which then leads to the failure of the entire build job).
