I am new to Django and am creating my own application. I want to integrate the notification system (personal, group, and broadcast) from the server to the end user. whenever he logs into his account, the notification bar is displayed as in facebook.
Currently used: Django 1.8 and Python 2.7
I looked at the link number or blogs to find out. I took advantage of several options:
Django gevent Socketio: not supported for Django 1.8 I still did in Django 1.8 so far. Please let me know how much I can encounter problems when switching to Django 1.6 in terms of support and functionality.
Pusher: I do not really understand. as much as possible and useful to use Pusher in the current existing application. Are there any compatibility issues?
Swampdragon: It seems like some compatibility issues with Django 1.8
Django-Tornado, Centrifuge: I'm a little afraid to change the whole code. In addition, I do not know about future problems I may encounter.
My questions:
Please explain which one is best to choose, since at a later stage it is difficult to move it to another.
In addition, switching to Django 1.6 is the best idea to support Swampdragon and Django Socketio.
