Will the status of the "Pending Developer Release" application stop beta testing in Testflight

Is it possible that the application will be reviewed by Apple and continued beta testing?

The iTunes Connect Developer’s Guide says, “When the app is ready for sale on the App Store, testing automatically stops on earlier versions and you won’t be able to view or check them.”

But what will happen if we select “Manual release” by submitting the app for the App Store Review, so the status of the application after successful viewing will be “Pending Developer Release”.

1) Is it right that the status “Pending Developer Release” does not stop testing automatically, and our beta tester can still test using Testflight?

2) Is it right that if we click “Release Now” while the status of the application is “Pending Developer Release”, it will change to “Ready for Sale” and the beta testing will stop?
