How to do custom animation using segues?

Question

In storyboards, you can adjust the transition by clicking on the segment (the circle symbol between the two screens) and set the transition to “Cover vertically”, “Flip horizontally”, “Cross dissolve” or “Partial curl” (you can uncheck the “Animation” box if you don’t want animation at all).

If I use a storyboard, is it possible to configure this transition by code?
