SSRS / BIDS 2008 Cannot load credentials. Type not in serialization whitelist

I can’t run the report from bids when connecting to ANY (local and remote) server. The local local report contains the following error:

An error occurred while processing the local report. Failed to load credentials. Enter "Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Project.Credentials" in the assembly "Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer, Version = 10.0.0.0, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 89845dcd8080cc91 is not in the serialization white list.

Some notes:

• This happens on the remote server as well as on my local server
• This happens when using the SQL Server user / password, as well as my Windows credentials
• I definitely have permission for the machines in question.
• This works very well on my machine, but I cannot indicate the change that caused the error
• Other developers can still design and run reports as usual.

My environment:

• Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit
• BIDS 2008
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and Developer (remote, local)

Does anyone have any ideas on the reason for this or tips to help me troubleshoot?

Testing SSRS using BIDS / Visual Studio has many bugs, secret caches, and in any case does not make sense (unless your end users use BIDS). Usually I host everything on the SSRS server and run all the tests there.
