Attribute mappings (N: 1 relationships) not included in export?

MS CRM 2015 allows you to specify attribute mapping in relation to relationships between objects. For example. for the "contact_customer_accounts" relationship shown below, it determines which attributes from the Account should be copied to the Contact when adding a new contact through the "connected contacts" type of the account.

However, when I change this mapping (and publish all the settings), it is not exported as part of my solution (or the default solution, for that matter). When I compare customizations.xml files before and after such a change in the mapping, they (for the corresponding parts) are exactly the same - is this information simply not part of the export?

I also found a solution file schema for customization , and it doesn't seem to say anything about attribute mappings.

I think this information should be part of the export of solutions - does anyone know why this is not so?

Update: I imported my solution (with account and contact) into my organization and published. Then remove half of the mappings from the contact_customer_accounts relationship and publish again. Finally, the same solution was imported and published again: remote mappings did not return.

Therefore, I think it is safe to say that the solution does not contain information about the comparison.
