Indian Rupee Symbole Not Showing on Windows (7.8) Even it is displayed on Linux

Question

I use html Code ₹to display the Indian currency symbol on my website. But on the Linux platform, it shows a symbol. But on the Windows platform, it displays a rectangle symbol, not a rupee symbol. Can anyone help me why this is happening.
