Can I add a global argument to all subcommands in Click-based interfaces?

I use Click under virtualenv and use the directive entry_pointin setuptools to map the root to a function called dispatch.

My tool provides two subcommands serveand config, I use the option in the top-level group to ensure that the user always passes the directive --path. However, the use is obtained as follows:

mycommand --path=/tmp serve

both sub-commands serveand configmust ensure that the user always passes the path, and ideally I would like to introduce cli as:

mycommand serve /tmp' or 'mycommand config validate /tmp

The current Click-based implementation is as follows:
