3D density plot with multiple groups (regression lines)

I would like to create a plot something like this:

Here we have two variables X = midyear and Y = yearend. I would like to create a density graph for each level X for Y.

I could go to this issue, but I don’t look like what I have in mind, especially the plot angle and the line. Any idea to make such twists or other packages that can do.
