Hierarchy Viewer "Inspect Screenshot" Shows Nothing

Question

My AVD screen:

And when I open hirarchyviewer from Android / sdk / tools and click on "check item", it shows the status bar "Download perfect pixel data" ...

... and theirs this status bar goes away and nothing happens. As if I just opened a hierarchical view.

By the way, I'm on Windows 10.

Any idea what is wrong?

As an alternative, I suggest you check out the UIAutomationViewer, which will be found in [SDK_HOME] /tools/bin/uiautomatorviewer.bat
