'Failed to create ImageSource from text' .. \ Images \ Medium.png 'failed to add new link

Question

When I try to add a new link to my current project, it gives me this error "Failed to create ImageSource from text". \ Images \ Medium.png '

I searched on goggle here too, but most of the answers are where to uninstall FastPictureViewer Codec Pack 2.4, which I did not install.

Another recommendation was to change the permission to “change” to “everyone” in the files

C: \ Windows \ microsoft.net \ Framework \ v2.0.50727 \ Config \ machine.config

and

C: \ Windows \ microsoft.net \ Framework \ v4.0.30319 \ Config \ machine.config

but I can’t find this “modifier”, so I can change “everything”, can someone help?

Go to the Windows update of your PC and install any additional recommended updates.

Restart your computer and everything should work fine.

Due to the update window 8 in Windows 8.1 you get problems. I have the same thing but allowed with this solution. Go to the control panel. Click "Update window." After updating the reboot system, you will find the "Resolved" problem.
