Sitecore - 2 multimedia objects. Same file name, different extensions

If you have 2 multimedia elements with the same name but with different extensions, Sitecore cannot distinguish between them.

For instance:

  • / ~ / Media / MyFile. Pdf

  • / ~ / Media / MyFile. document

When this URL is requested, the PDF file is returned in both cases.

I understand that Sitecore ignores the extension in the request, and that the real problem is actually that I essentially have two elements with the same path in the media library:

sitecore / media library / myfile

However, I think it is reasonable that our client wants to store both PDF and DOC versions of the same document in one node.
