Solr 5 Integration Tests with Maven

For Solr 5, developers announced that the Solr server will soon become a standalone server , unlike webapp, as it was in the past.

My question is how will I promote a clean Solr instance for my integration tests, given the fact that Solr is no longer a webapp (in fact, it is still there, but that is likely to change soon).

Having as a webapp was pretty handy for integration tests. We could just use the load-maven plugin to deploy the war and copy some configuration files. What would be my options for a standalone Solr server?
