Swing components do not show Thai characters

Question

I have a simple swing app. When I install Thai text in JLabel or other components, they show a question mark as characters instead of Thai text.

Is there anything that could be done to support Thai in swing applications?

There is no special function or configuration. Make sure your font supports Thai characters.

When I met the same problem, the component font was set to calibri. After changing it to sansserif, it worked.

But I do not know any other font that supports thai, I just found it with brute force.
