Wordpress update inside the container. No FTP access

I installed a Wordpress site with a wordpressDocker image and then installed my themes. Everything works fine, but when I want to update Wordpress later, I get this message:

To complete the requested action, WordPress must access your web server. Enter your FTP credentials to continue. If you do not remember your credentials, contact your web host.

The FTP server in the root directory of the website is not running in the Wordpress container. How can I solve this problem?

PS: I have my web root directory in a data container, which is used in different containers.

PS2: I plan to store multiple Wordpress sites on the same host. Is there a solution compatible with this?

The key is to make sure your web server is the owner of the WordPress directory installed in (and its subdirectories). You see an error because your web server does not have the proper privileges to write to your directories.

I recommend to start chown -R user:group /path/to/wordpressreplacing userand groupon your server information.
