UIWebView makes application stub when playing video

Question

Our application has a UIWebView that plays videos one at a time with the html5 tag. We use src source and change.

From time to time, the application gets a dead end. It only gets this on the iPad iPad (probably a coincidence) and iOS 8.

I thought that web browsing should not block the main thread, despite its contents.

I would be grateful for any help with this.
