This question is similar to the messages here , here , here , here and here , but I got stuck and spent hours trying to figure it out.
I have a preview of the camcorder (which now always displays in the correct orientation), but when I click on the recording (mediaRecorder.start ();), the orientation of the video changes. I tried using setOrientationHint , but it doesn't seem to matter (as noted in the comment in the code below).
This affects both of my test devices (Galaxy and Xperia on Bean Jelly). What should I do to fix this, please?
