Color Pixel Rating with OpenCV

Question

I am starting a discovery project. My idea is to rank each image pixel (Mat). Then I can get out of which color is dominant.

The difficulty is that color is not unique. For example, Green has the value rgb (0, 255, 0), but also almost rgb (10, 240, 20).

The purpose of my rating is to get out of pixels that are almost the same color. Then, with pourcentage, I think I can find my object.

So my question is: is this a way of ranking pixels by color?
