Connect multiple devices and transfer data through Wifi Direct without an access point

Question

Hi, I am developing an application using wifi Direct. I want to send data from mobile A to mobile B and from mobile B to mobile C and C to D etc. using Wifi Direct. I can send data from A to B and B to C and C to D, but with an access point (group owner). I did R&D on this and found some links that without an access point this is not possible.

Is there a way to get closer to such data transfer or avoid this restriction or do we have an alternative solution or a paid SDK. Please, help.
