My application runs as a windows service. It dynamically creates WCF services using the following helper method:

There is no .SVC file for these services. It’s also clear that these are self-service services, not IIS — they run WAS (Windows Activation Services).
Now I want to control how an instance of the implementation class is created. It looks like this can be done with ServiceHostFactory . However, all the articles about this that I have found say that the way to indicate that to use the factory is to put the type name in the @ServiceHost directive of the .SVC file. I do not have this file!
Can I use my own ServiceHost factory for WCF services without an SVC file running under WAS?
