How to track how many users use Apple Watch

Is there a way to keep track of how many iOS users have (and use) an Apple Watch? Is it tracked through Google Analytics automatically, or what do I need to do to achieve this?

The best thing you need to do is set BOOL to true in shared NSUserDefaults the first time you launch the Watch app, and then check this value in the iOS app. All testimonies on the Dev forums and publicly consisted in the fact that there is no way to programmatically find out if a couple was paired.
