Appengine user domain is sometimes redirected to google.com

Question

I have an appengine application written in Java with a GWT interface.

I have my own DNS configured through the "domains" in the Google Admin console to point to the appengine application. This configuration works very well for about three years.

Starting three weeks ago, I and some testing users witnessed a sporadic redirect (302) to google.com when entering our domain. Nothing related to these requests appears in the application log, so I assume that this is not a problem with the project or its configuration in appengine. In addition, nothing has been changed recently in my domains (Google Admin) and DNS.

It is strange that this problem occurs approximately once a day (sometimes more), and it lasts several minutes. This does not happen simultaneously for everyone, and when a problem occurs, opening in another browser or smartphone works fine. After a few minutes, everything starts to work fine in this browser.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I am not sure that the previous problems in your domain were caused by the same problem.
