Difference between column and column in css

colspanworks fine. but column-spandoes not work.
I have a little confusion with the full name:

column-span:was designed for print style layouts and is a pure CSS rule. It is used to host CSS columns(not table columns).
colspanthe attribute is used for table elements TDso that they can span multiple columns in the table.
