Shinyapp.io rename deployment path

You need to change the deployment path of shinyapp.io from
  https://username.shinyapps.io/abc
for the image    https://username.shinyapps.io/xyz

Can anyone advise how this is done?

The key that I found missing in your answer is that you need to delete the rsconnect folder . The dcf file in this folder contains the name of the application, and I could not change it, just renaming the folder of my application.
