"Error: duplicate resources" when creating an Android Studio project?

Question

This is the error I get:

The duplicate resource was mentioned in styles.xml, which I commented on:

This seems to have enabled me to successfully complete the build and solve the problem. Thanks for the comment @ pyus13

Apptheme themes_apptheme.xml styles.xml , Apptheme themes_apptheme.xml styles.xml. .
