Why did all my Xcode 6.1.1 simulators disappear?

I recently tried to run a simulation of a new iOS 7 application on Xcode 6.1.1 using my MacBook Pro while visiting Indonesia. The application is based on AddMusic and is compatible with iOS 7. When I tried to run the simulator abroad, the iOS modeling goals available during testing in Australia simply disappeared from the drop-down menu in Xcode. Moreover, since I came home, these simulators appeared again when I uninstalled, downloaded and reinstalled Xcode.

Until I reinstalled Xcode, the only option Xcode offered was to run the application on an iOS device, but I was not ready to do this in front of clients, not being able to check the version on the simulator.

Fortunately, in this case, I was able to demonstrate the earlier versions that I installed on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 C before leaving the house. But it would be really good to know what I can do to avoid this situation during my next visit abroad.

I suspect that the problem may be caused by differences between my internet connections at home and abroad.

Has anyone else had a similar problem that could be related?

Some things that can help you

  • Check the deployment settings in the project settings. Switching to lower versions of the OS can help you return all the simulators. enter image description here

  • Check the xcode version used in command line tools. Go to Xcode → Settings → Location → Command Line Tools

  • Close Xcode and restart the system.

Hope this helps!
