I use the activity recognition API available on Google Play Services. I tried using Google Play Services 5+ and Google Play Services 6+ (using the new API with GoogleApiClient) on Android 4+ and Android 5+. Everything works fine on different devices except Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Announced in 2014, September) (Unable to test other Samsung devices.) The problem is that:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has Google Play Services 5.0.89 (currently the latest version is 6.5.99) (and it's impossible to update)
- The activity recognition API does not work (available, it just does not fire the necessary recognition events)
Has anyone encountered similar issues on any Samsung device? How to solve it? Thank.
