Link, script tags between </body> and </html>

Question

I just started using SyntaxHighlighter .
I looked at the HTML source for this page and noticed that they put some links and script tags between </body>and </html>. I suppose this helps speed up the page plus its new feature autoload. But is it really / good (according to the HTML validator, it is not)? will this cause some weird stuff in some browsers?
