Update jax-rs shared library on weblogic

Usually weblogic 12c does not support jax-rs 2.0, but using the common jax-rs library that comes with weblogic itself, you can upgrade jax-rs from 1.1 to 2.0. The problem is that the library implementation is a T-shirt 2.5, which does not satisfy my needs. I found a link about updating the jersey version on weblogic that looks complicated. Is it enough to replace jersey 2.5 jerseys with my version 2.13 jersey? Do I need to do something?

I created a simple maven project to create a war file with a 2.19 jersey shared library for weblogic library.
I tested it with weblogic 12.1.3.
You can clone weblogic-jax-rs from here.
After cloning, run mvn packageto wage war and then deploy it to the server.
Of course, you must specify the new version of the implementation in your weblogic.xml, which is now 2.19

If you are not familiar with maven, you can download the war file here

Starting with weblogic 12.2.1 - there is a 2.21.1 jersey in the kit, so no additional installations are required.

weblogic 12.2.1.1 comes with 2.22.1 jersey
