The main thing I'm trying to answer is the following: What are the distinguishing features between the “new feature” and the “product improvement” when it comes to software development? In particular, when applied to Scrum.
Here are some possible criteria that come to mind:
- The complexity of the query (points)
- How an independent end result will come from other parts of the application (for example, adding a field to create and adding an entire new form)
Another possibility is that I think this is all wrong, and there is better, more understandable terminology that should be used.
