Activate a specific Maven profile only in Intellij IDEA

I am looking for a way to activate a specific profile, which includes some dependencies and settings related only to the development mode, when the project opens in IDEA.

I know that you can specify the profile to use - when importing a project or on the "Maven projects" tab. However, this requires some interactions that are easy to forget.

So, it would be nice to give an indication to always activate the corresponding profile, perhaps by providing some property or configuration of the runtime or something else.

This profile must be active only for IDEA import.
