Emacs Evil <E> mode and org-mode

Question

I recently started using emacs, Evil and org-mode together. When writing notes in org mode, sometimes the program enters the mode < E >that I can see in the status bar at the bottom of the frame. When starting emacs, I usually see a < N >in the status bar.

I suppose that

< N > - for normal operation

< I > - for insert mode

What is a < E >mode?

How to return to normal mode without restarting emacs?
