I am very new to this field, so my terminology may be wrong.
My goal is to create a custom Linux distribution for an embedded device equipped with the Texas Instruments AM335x ARM processor.
I played a little with Yocto 1.6.1 (Daisy release), bitbake and HOB (a general rescue game for a beginner).
After that, I discovered a quick launch of the Araggo project from Texas Instruments. It doesn't seem to need Yocto files at all, and instead it reloads the bitback, the meta-openembedded layer and the new level of meta-linaro (which I never heard of).
As I understand it, I need a meta-ti layer to create AM335x. Can I copy it with other levels of Yocto and just βuse itβ with Poky?
If I build using Arago, can I use the HOB and other Yocto layers?
What are the differences between Yogto / Poki and Arago? Are they compatible in some way? Does Arago support running images with qemu?
