I am developing an application where I need a full screen. In kitkat, this is very easy using a tag Immersive. But since not all devices support kitkat, I need to accept JB and ICS (at least).
Well, although there is a way to hide the navigation bar and status bar in JB and ICS, it becomes visible as soon as the user interacts. This, of course, does not look very good. It also requires extra touch.
I searched a lot on the net and was surprised that we cannot achieve this. I was hoping to find some kind of trick or hack, but nothing.
I am sure that before kitkat came along, there were games that used full screen, so I guess there should be a way (like Temple Run and Andgry Birds). Can someone please direct me in the right direction.
PS: I'm looking for a solution for devices that are not implemented.
