When a Delphi component, such as Developer Express components, is launched, it logs the html-help files in the Delphi IDE using the h2reg and INI file, as well as some macro magma. If I were an open source or commercial author of a Delphi component and I wanted to send an installer that registers html-help, how would I do it?
In very old versions of Delphi (until 2007), a tool appeared for registering additional winhelp files. But in recent years, many large vendors (such as the express developer) still provide help for their components, which can be accessed using the IDE's context help (press F1), this is not like Delphi 2007 or later, including XE6. that the process by which this is done is well documented, and this leaves the authors of the components, usually ignoring the Delphi IDE's built-in help.
I found that a third-party utility called h2regmay have something to do with this, but I cannot discover the secret of creating something here:
