Forcing the use of online webfont over a local font when it is not possible to change the font family

I use webfont, which I also installed on my system. I want the webpage to force the INSTEAD font to remotely maintain my local copy. I saw this question being answered here , except that the solution assumes that I can edit the font family name that I cannot (I use TypeKit and Hoefler fonts, and they only provide JS to download the fonts).

Any ideas?
