Downgraded web APIs for running on Linux using MONO

Question

I have a Restful Web API developed with MVC4 in C # .net 4.5. Now I need to deploy this web API on Cent OS Sever using Mono.

I looked around the network and found that I needed to downgrade to version 4.0 to run it using Mono on the Linux Machine.

If someone tried this before OR had any idea How to do this, please help ... !!!

To downgrade, just follow these steps:

• In VS, change the project target structure to .NET 4 instead of .NET 4.5 or 4.5.1.
• Update all NuGet packages.
• Close VS.
• packages.config.
• Microsoft.AspNet. * NuGet 5.1.2 4.0.30506.
