I’m reading the App Store Review Guide and I’m interested in learning about push notification policies. This is a rule that bothers me, and especially the second part:
Applications that send push notifications without first obtaining user consent, as well as applications that require push notifications, will be rejected
The first part is clear:
Applications sending push notifications without prior user consent ...
This means that you need to show a warning to register push notifications, but what the second part means:
... as well as apps that require Push Notifications ...
Does this mean that if I have a messaging app that uses push notifications to wake up, it will be rejected because push notifications are the heart of the app like this?
