Azure - The relationship between a resource group and an affinity group

I read about the affinity group and it distributes the services located in the data center in the same rack. On the other hand, new resource groups give me easy access to manage my services.

I want to deploy an application with the site + sql + storage, so I'm going to create a resource group for them, and for better performance, I also want to select an affinity group (previously created), but I can’t.

Using portal management, I can select an affinity group, but not an affinity group. And using beta portal management, I can select a resource group, but not an affinity group (the affinity group is not in the list of locations).

I tried using powershell mode to manage resource groups, but the cmdlet to create a website does not have an option for an affinity group (there is only a location).

I was wondering if it is possible to select an affinity group and a resource group in one deployment. There are no documents for this. Or maybe a resource group is a replacement for affinity groups, I don't know.
