Amazon S3 Object Metadata Update with Non-English Values

Question

I am using Amazon AWS SDK2 for PHP to interact with the Amazon S3 service.

Is it possible to store metadata (x-amz-meta- *) in non-English characters .

I even tried to directly add new metadata inside the S3 console.

Someone can tell me, if at all possible, and there is a way to save metadata for an object in non-English text.

I just found that it is not possible to save text without text as the metadata value for an object in Amazon s3.
