Download data in the background using iOS4

According to the latest Kindle V2.5 update, it has support for "continue downloading books when the application is in the background on iOS 4 devices."

How can I download content in the background? According to iOS documentation of multitasking in the background, only audio, voip and location updates are possible. And I'm also sure that NSURLConnection is not loading new data, and the application goes into the background. Then how is this possible with the Kindle app?

Edit: I have not tested the Kindle app on an iOS4 multitasking device. Therefore, if someone lets me (and the community) know what the Kindle app does to download, it would be very helpful.

Yes, you can. Go back to the document you mentioned and check the code in Finishing task of finite length in the background . In this way, you can perform common tasks in the background, including accessing the network and downloading files.
