Visual Studio Error: The editing wizard is already running

Question

In the original view, when I try to edit something, a dialog box appears saying "Master editing is already in progress", as shown in the figure below.

What could be the reason? Just closing the form and reopening it, it solves the problem, but I want to know what happens behind the scenes?

This is a bug in Visual Studio 2010/2012. In recent builds, Microsoft fixed this problem. Although they did not talk about why this problem occurred, an update to my Visual Studio 2012 fixed this.
