Using Volley on Android 2.3.3 and getting SSLHandshakeException

Our server uses an SSL certificate, but in Android 2.3.3 with volleyball I get this error (Android> 4 is ok):

Called: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: org.bouncycastle.jce.exception.ExtCertPathValidatorException: failed to verify the certificate signature.

Does anyone know how to solve it?
