How to remove horizontal scrollbar in <p: dataTable>

Question

I am trying to hide the horizontal scrollbar.
I tried many solutions, but it doesn't seem to work. The solution I tried is given here.
Here is my code that I used in XHTML

I tried using overflow-y: scroll; overflow-x: hidden; to hide the horzontal scrollbar, but none of them seem to apply to datatable data.
