Cannot load stylus into thin template

when I try to use styl: tag in the stylus file, I cannot compile it ... here is the error I get.

Temple::FilterError: Tilt engine styl is not available.
  Use --trace for backtrace.

Add a patch to register tilt.

  require 'stylus/tilt/stylus'
  register StylusTemplate, 'stylus'
