SHIMVIEW messages are generated by the Windows compatibility subsystem, for example. if the process is configured to run in XP compatibility mode or one of many other compatibility settings.

This message that you see does not necessarily apply to the project you are working on - it may be gdb, displaying a debug message from another process in which compatibility mode is activated.
